An Update on Wedding Planning

It has been oh so long since I have shared any wedding updates with you. It is coming along, slowly but surely. Sometimes I wish it was just three months away, so I could buy all the pretty decorations, finalize the lovely invitations and start the official countdown. On the flip side, the next six months gives us more time to save for the big day.

Here is a glimpse into one of the greatest wedding deals I have scored yet. I have been researching flower girl dress options for many, many months now. While I loved the flower girl that matched the bridesmaid dresses, it was $200. (Gulp.) I couldn't imagine spending $200 for a dress my seven year old goddaughter will wear once.

I browsed dress options on the internet and also scoured the little girls' section in department stores with no luck. Then, on a whim, my mom and I went into Burlington Coat Factory. To our amazement, we discovered a very large selection of flower girl, First Communion and party dresses. It turns out that the one that matched the bridesmaids' dresses perfectly was on clearance for $20. Yes, just $20!!! Here's a sneak peak on this ultimate find...

The sash and ivory swatches above are from my dress while the blush-colored swatch represents the bridesmaid dresses. I think this was a home run in an unexpected place. Who knew Burlington Coat Factory had such wonderful things?

My flower girl has already tried this dress on and looks so stunning. I'll will have to wait to share those photos with you until after the wedding day. I don't want to ruin the surprise.

Overall, I must say I totally recommend Burlington Coat Factory if you are looking for little girl party dresses.
