Sign up for the Fabulous Fall Blogger Exchange

I am happy to announce that I will be hosting a Fabulous Fall Blogger Exchange. Signups begin today.

I have participated in two blogger exchanges (The Pink Swap by Monograms and Manicures and the Valentine's Day Swap by O. is Me) in the past and truly enjoyed the experience. I loved meeting other bloggers while also having a reason to shop. Plus, fall is my favorite season, so why not celebrate.

Fabulous Fall Exchange Guidelines:
  • You must be a blogger from the United States. If you are a blogger outside the U.S. and want to participate, please let me know via email and I will try to match you with someone who is willing to ship abroad.
  • Please purchase four or more fabulous fall items to swap with another blogger. Gift ideas: fall decorations, fall scented candles or soaps, bath and body products, nail polish, fall fashion accessories, etc.
  • The total spending limit is $25 (pre-postage).
  • Signups begin today and will go until Wednesday, September 26.
  • On September 29, I will match you with a partner and email you the blogger's email address so you can connect for swapping purposes.
  • Fabulous Fall Exchange packages must be sent by October 8.
  • Come back on October 18 to share all the fabulous fall items you received as part of the exchange.

Please do not sign up if you are not 100% sure you can commit. I would hate for a blogger to be package-less. Also, feel free to share the Fabulous Fall Blogger Exchange information with others. The more, the merrier. Thank you!

Design Your Own Note Cards

I am in love and entertained with this "print-your-own" note card set I received from Sara, author of Social Sara. This was part of my Pink Swap gift that I received by participating in Monograms and Manicures' blogger exchange back in February. It was not until this summer that I opened the note card set by Gartner Studios to find out just how awesome they really are.

My set consisted of pink and green note cards with floral print lined envelopes. On the packaging, were the words, "PRINT ON ME," so I went to the Gartner Studios website and found the correct template.  Turns out the template is set up in Microsoft Word, so it was easy to manipulate and change.  I initially printed my monogram, but then switched it up with some other sayings ("Hello" and "Happy Day").

I had a blast with this. The design possibilities were endless! I printed a few to have on hand, but wanted to save some for special occassions.

These cards would make a great gift. Just pick up a brand new pack (Sara found them at Target) and personalize them for the recipient. Bundle them with ribbon and you have an affordable, unique note set!

The Valentine's Day Exchange

In addition to The Pink Swap, I also participated in an Valentine's Exchange hosted by O. is Me

I came across this while reading my friend Ashley's blog, According to Ashley.  You may remember Ashley from the featured I did on her son Henry's adorable baby pictures.  (Also, I thought I would let you know that Ashley is currently hosting a necklace and nail polish giveaway so head over to her blog for a chance to win.)

         According to Ashley

As part of the Valentine's Exchange, you were assigned a partner and a $10 limit.  I was partnered with Leisha from We Are The Shepperds. Leisha lives in Texas and has a wonderful Etsy shop filled with personalized plaques and vinyl transfers.

we are the shepperds

When Leisha's packaged arrived, I was so tickled to find a beautiful handmade card inside.  As you know, I am such a sucker for pretty stationary!

The presents were wrapped beautifully.

To my surprise, one gift was a box of Girl Scout Thin Mint cookies.  Who knew they were already available?  I was ecstatic! I actually interned at Girl Scout Council in college and loved the continuous access to the cookies.  In addition, Leisha included a pair of pink and red socks and a red velvet cupcake candle, both perfect for Valentine's Day.

A very special thanks to Leisha from We Are The Shepperds.  Your Valentine's Day gift was perfect!

The Pink Swap

In January, I signed up to participate in Monograms and Manicures's Fourth Annual Pink Swap.  By signing up, you are assigned a partner and the task of selecting four pink items under $30 to exchange. My partner turned out to be Sara from Social Sara.

Sara actually reached out me after seeing my comment on the Monograms and Manicures participation post. This took place even before swap partners were assigned. After we exchanged a couple messages, swap partners were announced and ironically Sara and I were partnered together... I think it is fate.  Sara has been so sweet and helpful in my quest to purchase a Mac.

Turns out, we have a ton in common:

She works in PR. I work in PR.
She used to ride and show horses. I grew up with horses.
She owns a Mac. I am dying for a Mac.
She is from Savannah, GA. I visited there this summer and decided I would love to live there.
She loves stationary. I am obsessed with pretty papers of all types.

To say the least, this swap experience has been wonderful! I am so thankful Sara and I were able to connect.

Fast forward a couple weeks later. I picked out four items and wrapped them in pink paper to send to Sara.

A package including several beautifully wrapped gifts from Sara arrived shortly after.

The packaged included a personalized wine glass, printable stationary (how cool!), lotion, nail polish, hand sanitizer, tissues, a nail filer and a sweet note from Sara.

Great pink products to stash in my purse and vanity!

A gorgeous wine glass from Swoozies.

Stationary made to put put through your printer for personalization.... LOVE!

A very special thanks to Sara from Social Sara for the generous pink package and Monograms and Manicures for hosting the exchange!

The Pink Swap was a success and I look forward to participating in more exchanges like this.
