A bun in the over and burgers on the grill: Highlights from a baby boy shower

On Simply Sarah Style, I often talk about how to pretty things up, but today, I thought I would share a manly approach to celebrating. My colleagues and I thought we would throw a "bun in the oven and burgers on the grill" shower for one of our designers and his wife.

Well when you discover your company grill no longer works, its time to take action. And by take action, I mean get in your car and drive to White Castle. I guess most guys love White Castle, so there's no shame in our last minute "catering" plan.

Since this took place at work during happy hour, we thought we would keep it simple with typical burger/picnic foods.

Skewers are one of my go-tos. So easy, yet very festive.

These toothpick flags are another go-to. I can usually make them with what I have on hand. No purchasing for this trick. Just grab some washi tape and wrap it around a toothpick for a customs look. They're easy and add a great punch of color to the spread.

Let's also talk about these cookies. While I love my custom cookies from Spoonful of Sugar in Villa Hills, I also lean on Servatii for quick orders with less lead time. They have cranked out these baby face cookies for me on several occasions.

Since this celebration was at our office, we kept it simple when it came to decor.

I had also purchased a bow tie printable off of Etsy and used the cutouts to add a bit of personality to the koozies and party decor.

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to check back tomorrow as I'll have a great giveaway from one of the most beloved brands ever featured on Simply Sarah Style.
