A Crock Pot Dish

I came across this crock pot recipe for Creamy Mushroom Chicken from Deliciously Thin on Pinterest.

As I expected, this new crock pot is changing my life. I love the fact that you can make delicious dinners with practically zero effort.  I tried my hand at this crock pot recipe and here is what I came up with: 

Maybe I should work on my food photography skills.
I promise that it was delicious though!

In addition to the Creamy Mushroom Chicken, I also prepared wild rice from a steamer bag (zero effort) and asparagus in the oven.

For the Creamy Mushroom Chicken, you need the following ingredients:

• Chicken breasts
• 1 can of mushroom pieces and steams
• 8 oz cream cheese
• 1 can cream of mushroom and chicken soup

Crock Pot Aspirations

I just ordered my very first crock pot from Walmart.com. Yes, believe it. It is my very first.  Thanks to Pinterest, I have been introduced to many delicious-looking crock pot recipes. I just knew I needed to get one.  I love how quick and easy they can be.  Just throw it ingredients before work and come home to a yummy dinner.  How perfect! (Typically my dinners include things such as cheese, pepperoni and crackers. How nice it will be to have hot meal.) 

Now, I am not a great cook, but am willing to learn. Do you have crock pot recipes I should try?  I am looking for meals with a short ingredient list. I secretly get intimated with a long list of exotic items. 

I am picking up my crock pot at the store tomorrow.  If you don't already know, Walmart.com will ship almost any item from the site to your nearest store for FREE.
