Baby Boy Sprinkle Shower Planning

One of my dearest friends is expecting her second child in April. To celebrate, my oldest friends are getting together for baby boy brunch. We'll be meeting at a local hometown favorite, the Greyhound Tavern, to sprinkle our friend and her baby boy with precious gifts.

As part of the planning, I pulled together this concept. To be honest, I have been crushing on this Tiny Prints baby shower invitation since I saw it on their homepage slider. Between the bow tie and polka dots, it's perfection. I also adore that bow tie cake!

Since we will be in a restaurant, I think a little activity will be fun, so I tied in a "wishes for baby" concept.

I also thought the mini "POP" champagne bottles would work well as a festive party favor. Even a favor, the mom-to-be can "pop" in a month or so to celebrate the arrival of baby #2.

Cutest Show on Earth: A Circus-Themed Baby Shower

My friends and I planned a baby shower for one of our grad school classmates, Lindsey, and her husband, TJ.  We had a blast exploring favor, decor and food ideas for this circus-themed party.  Since Lindsey and TJ are expecting a little girl, we decided to focus on a red and teal color scheme to celebrate "their little peanut."  Below are pictures from the event.  Enjoy!

Dreams of Joining the Circus

As a child, I visited the circus each and every year it came to town. My sister and I knew that once those circus promotional commercials hit TV, our dad would make a trip to the ticket office to purchase the family tickets. Seeing the animals, clowns and high-flying trapeze artists captured my attention and imagination.

More recently, my childhood love for the circus was ignited again by the movie, “Water for Elephants”, based on the New York Times #1 best-selling book. As result, the circus become my topic of choice when assigned to write a post for the work blog. Do you love too the circus?  I welcome you to visit the Saybrook blog to see how the circus becomes big business when it comes to public relations.

  

Could I still fulfill my dream of joining the circus?   Maybe... just as a public relations professional or trapeze girl stand-in.
